If the Unions are so good

Then why has  the automobile manufacturing capacity gone over seas?.... If Obama is on the side of unions, then why did he have the Government fund GM moving 80% of it's factories to China, where there are no unions allowed? If the Democrats are so for the unions, then why also did they allow and vote for those same funds.....
